What an electrifying moment we had here today, at the CBIS Lekki Sports Complex!

The stands, indeed, were electric today as CBIS Lekki took on Chalcedony in a heart-stopping local showdown! Our Lions brought their A-game, dominating the pitch from the opening whistle.

The first half was a masterclass in attacking prowess. CBIS players weaved through the Chalcedony defense like magic, and the nets found themselves trembling three times before halftime! -with each goal showcasing pinpoint passing, thunderous strikes, and pure footballing artistry.

The second half saw Chalcedony fighting back with grit and determination, but the CBIS defense stood firm. Our defenders were walls of steel, repelling every attack with resolute focus. And when called upon, our goalkeeper was simply unbeatable, pulling off saves that defy description! ‍♂️

This 3-0 victory isn't just about numbers on a scoreboard -especially given that Chalcedony also won their match against us last year by 3 goals to 1. So, this time around, our academy squad intentionally gave it a full fight-back with an unwavering mindset of redemption.

This is a testament to the incredible teamwork, skill, and heart displayed by the players. Each player played for one another, for the fans, and for the pride of Caleb British International School!
